Why did MathScans misread my equation?

OCR accuracy is highest on clearly printed or neatly handwritten math on a plain background. Try adjusting the corner handles to frame just the equation, ensure good lighting, and hold the camera steady.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → MathScans → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Can I use MathScans offline?

Scanning and solving requires an internet connection to reach our AI servers. However, your last 10 scans are cached on your device and viewable offline from the History screen.

Which math topics does MathScans support?

Arithmetic, algebra, intermediate algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics — over 200 problem types across K-12 and early university level.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

Open MathScans → tap the profile icon → Subscription → Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used to purchase.

Is my scan data kept private?

Scan images are sent to our servers for processing and immediately deleted — we do not store your photos. Recognised equations and solutions are saved to your account history. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
